Estate Planning Matter Tag Examples
Here are some examples of matter tags you can implement in your firm for Estate Planning:

Status or Critical Information

• Will drafted
• Docs out for review
• Drafts complete
• Signing scheduled

Marital Status

• Single
• Married

Types of Trusts

• Revocable Living Trust
• Joint Trust
• Land Trust
• Special Needs Trust

Multiple Properties

• Pets (a non-common item, useful for tracking unique cases)
• Value of the Estate (e.g., over a million, less than 2 million)

Once you assign a tag to a matter, it will appear at the top of the matter.

How to Assign or Edit Matter Tags

1. Within your open matter, click the + at the top right of the screen. Add (1) Staff Tags or (2) Custom Tags.
2. Click outside the tag box to close it. To add an additional tag within your open matter, select Edit Tags and add more default options.
