Probate & Estate Administration Contacts

For LiraDocs, managing contacts in Probate & Estate Administration matters in Kenya would involve configuring the system to track relevant parties and their roles according to Kenyan law. Here’s how this can be customized:

Additional Parties Not Listed

In the LiraDocs system, you can add additional parties to the matter who are not automatically listed in the default setup. These could include:

  • Heirs: Add multiple heirs such as children, spouses, or relatives.
  • Beneficiaries: People who will inherit from the estate.
  • Creditors: Those to whom the deceased owed debts.
  • Executors: The individuals or institutions managing the estate.

To add or remove parties, simply use the settings to customize the parties involved in the matter.

Edit Legal Role and Description

For each party in the matter, you can describe their specific legal role in detail. For example:

  • Heir (Daughter, Son, Cousin, etc.)
  • Executor (Name of the appointed executor)
  • Beneficiary (Spouse, Relative, etc.)
  • Witness (if applicable)

This feature allows you to customize how you track the involved parties and ensure that each person’s role is accurately represented in the system.

Adding Multiple Categories or Parties

If there are multiple parties with similar roles, such as multiple heirs, you can:

  • Right-click the field where the parties need to be added.
  • Select “Add [CATEGORY SELECTED]” to add additional heir or beneficiary fields, which will automatically label them as Category 1, Category 2, and so on.

This flexibility ensures that all involved parties are accurately tracked and the matter’s details are properly structured according to the requirements of Kenyan law.
